    Rajasthan Tour By Car: Explore The Offbeat Rajasthan

    Rajasthan is a must-visit place on every traveller’s list be it Indians or foreigners. The grand architecture coupled with the rich heritage, cuisine, and unique traditions makes Rajasthan an interesting place to visit. There are so many distinguished places in this state that it becomes quite difficult for most visitors to explore offbeat destinations. However, those places can be easily accessible by road. Therefore, you should plan a Rajasthan tour by car, especially during the festive season which is from October to February.

    Day 1: Jaipur to Bundi 

    Featuring lakes, bazaars, blue houses, hills, and temples, Bundi gives a true glimpse of the offbeat Rajasthan. Visit Taragarh Fort to explore its brilliant architecture and the scenic view of the town below. Another popular attraction is Naval Sagar which is an artificial lake. Here you will find a half-submerged temple of Lord Varuna. 

    Day 2: Bundi to Chittorgarh

    With countless stories of different rulers and great wars, Chittorgarh is the land of glory. The legacy still shows in the town’s rich culture and heritage since it is passed on to the younger generations. The major attraction of the town is the Chittorgarh Fort. Also visit Padmini Palace, Kalika Mata Temple, Keerthi Stambh, Rana Kumbha Palace, and Vijay Stambh, to better explore the stories of the past. 

    Day 3: Chittorgarh to Udaipur

    Udaipur, one of the most romantic cities in India, is known for its picturesque beauty. This grace is reflected in the amazing palaces, pleasant gardens, large lakes, eloquent forts, etc. The other palaces and landmarks to be seen in the city include Nehru Park, Jagadish Temple, Sahelio ki Bari, City Palace, Fateh Sagar Lake, etc.

    Day 4: Udaipur to Ranakpur

    Do not miss the Ranakpur temple which was Built in the 15th century. This temple took 50 years to come back to life and is one of the most important and the largest temples in Jain culture. The temple campus is the house of various other temples including Chaumukha Temple, Suparshvanatha Temple,  Amba Temple, Surya Temple, etc. 

    Day 5: Ranakpur to Jodhpur

    Featuring blue stucco houses and decorated palaces and mansions, Jodhpur is a pure visual treat for travellers. Start your journey with a walk through the city to discover its heritage. Do not forget to visit the famous Mehrangarh Fort and Museum, the burial place of Rajaram Meghwal, the Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park, the Clock Tower, etc.

    Day 6: Jodhpur to Jaisalmer

    Jaisalmer aka the Sun City of Rajasthan features huge tall sandcastles rising from the Thar Desert and this reminds us of a glorious ancient era. The Jaisalmer Fort is home to about 3,000 people. Here you will find lined-up temples, houses, an array of restaurants, guesthouses, handicraft shops, etc.

    Day 7: Jaiselmer to Bikaner

    The city of Bikaner has many surprises to offer from a temple dedicated to 25,000 black rats, to festivals with dressed-up and dancing camels. Explore Junagarh Fort to witness the impeccable architecture, and visit the magnificent Lalgarh Palace. Do not forget to shop at Kote Gate, and enjoy the local cuisines in Bikaner.

    Day 8: Bikaner to Khimsar 

    Located at the centre of Rajasthan, this place is a must-visit for culture and art enthusiasts. For a royal experience, visit Khimsar Fort, which is a luxury heritage hotel. Also, take a camel ride or a desert safari in the Khimsar Dunes Village.
