People have a misconception that kids and young students can’t have stress because they are children and adults can have stress because they have to deal with a lot of things, which is completely a wrong perception because these days kids are also so much stressed that they are suffering psychological damages. This may seem a little weird but it is a bitter truth that school going kids are also suffering from stress and the main reason for it is coming from academic life and school life. Now parents and people have data to cross this statement that there are so many facilities to help the children in the modern education system where tools like LMS and ERP help the learning system of the kids so much so how they can be suffering from stress? So, regarding this statement this article will clarify every small and big necessary information. The foremost thing is parents and sometimes tutors also are unable to understand the symptoms of a stressed child because adults show different kinds of symptoms and kids have different symptoms of stress. We all are aware of adult’s way to show stress but none of us are aware of child symptoms. Whereas there can be several reasons behind this situation with a child, like maybe he/she is suffering from bullying in the school, or any violent tutor beats the child, the child can be struggling with his mediocre or weak state of mind with any particular subject and is not getting any way to overcome this situation etc. Today small kids are given so many responsibilities and activities that they are unable to cope up with all these. So, let’s talk about the symptoms of a stressed child and remedies to cure such a situation.
Education system has changed a lot and has adapted many innovative changes where students and kids have tools like LMS and ERP to help them ease their learning but still hectic curriculum and many other factors are there which are becoming a burden on kid’s minds and causing them stress. Parents can recognize it in kids by keeping a keen eye on their kid’s behaviour. First symptom can be sudden change in the mood or we can call it mood swings also, where the child is happy and with a sudden change of behaviour the next minute, he/she becomes sad. Suh weird changes in the behavioural pattern of a child shows that he/she is struggling with stress. Related to the behavioural pattern of the child, if the child is suffering from stress due to any reason, he/she will execute an unpredictable behaviour and mostly it will contain negativity. For example, a normal child can never hurt someone in presence of parents because he is conscious about it that it is a wrong act but a stressed child can hit someone with anything that comes in his/her hand being suffering from stress. He/she just wants to vent out that stress anyhow. Such children also lose a comfortable sleep and are unable to have a sound sleep. They often wake up being scared due to any scary dream and keep crying in the middle of night. A serious symptom which parents should never ignore is bed wetting, where a child who had never been through such a situation for a long time and suddenly starts to get wet, it can be a matter of concern.
Such kids being irritated and unable to deal with their stress start to refuse to eat their favourite food and edibles. They suddenly start to either refuse to eat food or they eat very little and say they don’t have an appetite. Instead, they start to build new habits that are too weird one like snapping fingers, making sounds while eating, putting fingers in nose anywhere, and pulling their hairs in anger. As a remedy parents should make the child take complete rest and sound sleep along with a good nutritional meal. Most importantly, parents need to spend ample amounts of time with their child to listen to their thoughts and daily routine, they must ask everything about their daily school time or any issues they are going through. Make them relax by comforting them by being beside them and make them feel that as parents you are always with them in any situation.
